This spring, RCC is helping to revive the community garden behind the Boys and Girls Club. The city is leasing plots to neighbors at no charge.
Here’s what the garden looked like in March.
An individual plot before we got our hands on it.
The city has mowed the grass, and the great volunteers below helped weed the plots.

Community Garden, ready to be planted
Can’t wait to see what these look like full of veggies!
It’s that time again! Music, beer, and seven thousand pounds of crawfish will be descending upon Rosewood Drive on May 5th, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the 7th Annual Rosewood Crawfish Festival. Rosewood Community Council is sponsoring a table and we need volunteers! Do you have an hour? Two hours? All day? Please help out your neighborhood by volunteering to work at our table. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested. Thanks!
Mark your calendars! On February 11, at 10:30 a.m., the Rosewood Community Council is sponsoring a cleanup of the woods in Owens Field Park. We need volunteers! You can join us for as long or as little as you’d like.
Please bring gloves and sturdy shoes. The city is providing bags and will haul off the trash when we’re through.
RSVP on Facebook or email email@example.com. Please forward this information to anyone you know who uses and loves Owens Field Park. Thanks and see you on the 11th!
